Walking around one of the Historical area's just down the street from my home, I noticed that there has been some improvements made at the old Lock.

Their has been a Walkway & Bicycle path added to the area. This was never here before. This path follows along the old Schuylkill Canal and is part of the recreation area that will extend from Port Clinton to Philadelphia. I nice addition, I think.

Would you believe that a Dam Breast once was here? Looking straight across the River where the Dam Breast used to be.

Since the old Dam has been ravaged by Mother Nature in the past, it was in very sad condition. The old Dam was once used to store Canal Boats moving goods up and down the Schuylkill Canal. Now, after more than 200 yrs have passed the Dam Breast just fell apart. What was left of it, has been torn away.

While over at the Blue Marsh Dam on evening, I noticed something that I never saw before. An Amish or Mennonite Lady in a Kayak, enjoying an evening on the Lake.

I never knew that these people did this kind of thing. The Amish or Mennonite people are of a different "society" than us.

While over at the Blue Marsh Dam I was standing on higher ground where I could watch the boats come in to be picked up at the boat loading area. This was just one of the many different types of boats that came in. I thought it was a nice looking boat, plus I love the color. Wish I could afford one of these.

Using my Tamron 70-300mm Lens with Macro I thought that this plain ole' weed flower was pretty.
