Finishing the Leafing Process by IMA - Indianapolis Museum of Art.
After the leaf is laid onto the size it is tamped down with a soft brush to a smooth surface quality. The hinges, after burnishing with cotton wool and drying, were toned down with a single coat of B72 and raw umber pigment.
