Ingrid Press Festival Of Quilts 2009, NEC Birmingham

Ingrid Press Festival Of Quilts 2009, NEC Birmingham by imagingermonkey.
each house was about 2 or 3 inches tall, and the quilting was amazing. Tiny little free motion houses dotted in amongst the quilting too.

I fell totally in love with this one. Ingrid was so nice as well, very quiet and unassuming.

Yep, Sarah. That was my reaction. I have a feeling if you'd have been there we'd have been planning on how to distract her long enough to run away with it! ;)
It wasn't for sale, otherwise I would have bought it. She said she was saving it in the hope that her son would one day give her a grandchild!

I am SO making one of these!!!

I want to click that "fave" button like 10 times for this quilt. It's the best house quilt ... ever. I want one now! Maybe for my next quilting bee ...

I love it so much I printed it off so I could carry it around with me. I was not getting anything done due to me sitting around the computer looking at it! I am going to have to try my hand at this beauty.

I'm going to try it too. I also printed it off and stuck it above my desk so I could wonder at it!
I got some fair trade cotton charm squares at the festival, in shirtings and solids colours - I think they'll be perfect for this.

Do we know who the maker is and does she have a photo stream or blog of her/his own? I'd really love to see more work. This is amazing. Absolutely amazing!

Amy - she's called Ingrid Press, but she doesn't have a blog or anything. I've googled her and come up with zilch.
There are a couple more pics in my photostream of her work, but other than that I can't find anything.

Thanks for the lead. I found some closeups of the quilt along with your photos and it's even better up close! she's practically quilted little houses and trees over the houses!
