Noctilucent Clouds 2018-07-06

These clouds lie above the troposphere, where normal weather occurs, and are sufficiently high to catch sunlight from over the horizon, even in the dead of night. They are a rare sight at latitude 52 degrees, being seen more northerly as a rule. The ones I photographed near Inverness were much better but, given my location, I am pleased with these.
