Flash Flood Love
Chicago and the surrounding areas flooded pretty badly yesterday. O'hare's ground floor was closed and flights weren't leaving, but I-90 was shut down so you couldn't get there anyway! Our house flooded some 4-5". About 95% of our family photos went for a swim and are laid out across every inch of available space in our house to dry lol.. it's a balancing act getting around right now.
I had been itching to go outside the whole day (even before we discovered our flood) so, after hours of cleanup, what could be a better way to de-stress? Jumping through the floods, of course!! Everything around me was so flooded that I didn't have to go far. It was SO fun :D
House is better, but it's going to take months to get back into shape. We have to rip out and re-do half of the walls. Right now we're waiting for Michael's Arts & Crafts to open so we can buy some photo boxes and rediscover our floor :]

Best of luck to everyone affected here and in Texas. We never imagined anything like this happening in Chicago.
