Going through some older music.. found a techno version of "My Moon, My Man" by Feist I forgot about. Some songs just have the ability to bring me to a certain place, and this song is definitely walking/driving through Chicago in winter.
Had a lovely weekend! One day was spent sick in bed, but it was sandwiched between two perfect fall days where I got to cruise in the Scooby with the windows down! In November! How nice :D

Let's Play!!
For awhile now, I've been wanting to upgrade to an ultra-compact yet very capable p&s. It just came an hour ago :D :D :D I am sooo excited by this thing. I can't believe how much smaller it is than my SD870 IS, and the picture quality is insane. I love my 5D to bits, but Canon really knows what it's doing with its point & shoots. I've gone to Casio and others before.. but these take the cake. It's gonna be a fun weekend!!! :)
Now back to my essay. That's due in a couple hours... crap! :b

The door's open, come on in.
I'm getting an itch to travel again.. My inbox has been getting bombarded with all these amazing flight deals (most of them end up not actually being amazing haha), but I did get one for American Airlines flights from $50 (and one I looked up actually ended up at $90.. tempting!). I'll definitely be booking it to Europe early next year since I don't get to see my fam for christmas :( and for my dream job (!!!).
Last night, I had a dream that I was at a big reunion with everyone from London. Tough thing to wake up from! I love all of the friends I made that summer so much.
Had an awesome day today.. lots of fun and all in the spirit of *having the best year possible* .. I told myself I was on a mission and I'm living it. Weeeee :)
Just went to get a cappuccino to top off dinner and they had a giant fire going in the courtyard. So nice :D It makes me want a night in with hot chocolate and a good movie after a ridiculous snowball fight. I love that it finally feels a bit like fall here. I need my seasons! :D
And then all of this reminded me of two quotes..

And that also reminded me of an amazing person I met while traveling, just after Morocco actually. I remembered how good it can be to open up sometimes, especially when you meet someone who is your super-sarcastic Australian counterpart haha. There's no better feeling than finding someone who understands you and you understand them.
