Silent Prayer / Amritsar, India

Newer Older

for everybody ever going to India: the Golden Temple of Amritsar is a Must. The calmness of this place (specially in the morning), the cold marmor tiles under the bare feet, the distant prayers, the people moving silently around the pool ... it is an experience you are unlikely to forget.

Impossible to believe that this place of worship and of peace once, during the "reign" of Mrs Ghandi, was distroyed by tanks and people shot to death by machine gun ... a contrast that can't be bigger!
