This might be dodgy looking... and if you think it is please say so. I've noticed that the images I process on my laptop don't look the same elsewhere. It looks really dodgy on my touchpad... oversaturated and well just rather pump. Any suggestions as to why that is and how I can minimise the difference gratefully received.
I was disappointed I didn't remember my tripod here because I lost better images due to not being able to keep the camera still. However whether I caught it in camera or not, my eyes had a feast here.

Winter sunsets... gotta love em. :-) I've made a start on getting to each of your photostreams but will have to do it in bitesize chunks as there's a lot of good stuff to see. Night :-) x

Dusky light over Coniston Water. The muted colours were really serene... chilly yes, but worth the numb fingers. It was my Dad's birthday on 13th when I took this and I know he would have loved to have been here... so this one's for you Dad! xx

Looks nice on black I feel. :-)

To all my flickr friends, thank you for all your kind comments on my previous photo for my Dad. I took them to heart. I've been absent for quite a while dealing with all the various things one has to deal with and a few more besides but I'm trying to get back to the photography... clawing my way back because I feel like I'm getting very rusty.

I hope to catch up with each of you as the new year kicks in with a vengeance and find some inspiration... yep you guys are pretty inspirational! Then fingers crossed composition and technique will flood back to me. The shot above could have done with more light to give it some dynamism... and I know compositionally it is lacking a bit (that's what you get from shooting quickly out of a car window) and I had to work it a bit in PS to make the best of the sky but I feel the foreground really suffers... I know I can do better... and sooner or later I will! :-)

My best to you all, I hope this year will be a year of good things for each of you. I'm hoping for a better one myself! ;-)
Debs...x

This is for my Dad, a man who truly appreciated the Lake District in all its glorious seasons and who's love of the outdoors really rubbed off on me. It might be a photo from the archives but it's one I know he'd have liked.... he'd often pencil-sketch cottages just like this one. My Dad passed away in the early hours of Thursday morning from acute Renal failure after an intense battle with Paranasal Sinus Cancer. He was an incredibly generous man who taught me a lot and I will always love and miss him.

Thank you to everyone who sent their thoughts and wished him well during his fight even though you didn't know him.

If you have time, please view on black as I think that suits it best. :-)
