Palestinian artists Rania Abou Zeid and Cheema Al-Helh sculpting clay murals with health, educational and social messages for the community in Hashem school in Gaza old city. The artists use a mixture of clay and white cement to produce the messages. People understand the messages more readily when they are conveyed through art.

A total of 84 unemployed workers were able to cover their basic needs while participating in the project and producing 64 visual messages. This is the first time that an ICRC project has targeted art faculty graduates directly.

Palestinian artist Brakat Abo Chamalah sculpting clay murals at Shuhada Al Shate' School in Gaza City. The implementing partner for this project, "Association of Culture, Arts and Popular Heritage", is a local NGO based in the Beach Camp that focuses on bringing Palestinians closer to their heritage through participation in social and cultural activities. Participants seek to preserve and develop traditional Palestinian craftsmanship.
