Over Machu Picchu

This is the view from a short way above the site, hiking towards the Dawn Gate. If I had to pick the one best photo from the entire trip, this might be it. Good thing I was willing to barter with a man with a briefcase to get a new battery for my camera after I lost the one I had. I think this view highlights both Wayna Picchu and the spread of the city below it, both the highlights of the construction and the reinforcing terraces descending down towards the valley floor.
