Leeds Christmas Lights Fireworks

Leeds Christmas Lights Fireworks by Ian Percival.
Once a year, every year, hundreds of people gather in Victoria Gardens to celebrate & shout-out the count down for the city's Christmas lights being turned on, and to see the skyline ablaze with the most wondrous of fireworks displays.

I missed these but did enjoy the atmosphere of the lights being switched on by sitting in grid locked traffic trying to get home from work :(

- Alison - I had the same thing last year - took me an hour extra to get home from manchester because of flippin Chico turning on the lights. I could have screamed. Shame they can't get Frank to do it ;)

- Jess - thank you! Yep - it was taken from a high point (17th floor) near the ring road; I'd been planning to do a pic from that point for a while and the fireworks were the perfect excuse :)
