Jess and Greg and the Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day

"What's wrong with him?"
"Guess my son is not gonna be a brain surgeon ..."
Runny nose.
Itchy eye.
Table sloping to the left due to bad foundation.
Milk slightly sour-ish.
Sweater showing wear and tear
omg, now i'm hungry!
Jess and Greg and the Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day by jessamyn.
I went to the doctor and got no magic pill. I mostly got looked at by a handsome med student who couldn't remember my name. My doctor was trying to show off to him so he drew me a diagram of histamine reactions and said "well at least you're on medicaid, you can get all sorts of cool drugs for your allergies" I came home with a bag of medicines and I'm still allergic to my house. I think I'll go to Australia... oh wait...

Greg found out that he didn't get the clerkship he wanted which would have been the easiest way for us to stay in the state once he graduates. His dental work is healing over nicely but he thinks he can feel his gums growing. He's not allowed to eat on one side of his mouth for eight weeks. He had five classes today.

We tried making brownies, but as you can see, it didn't help.

Plus, bad hair day for me, broken brownie for Greg.

Once we started spelling it out, we realized how comically ridiculous we were being, and took this picture.

This is SO funny. You should have your own TV series. I'm glad you can still see the funny side of life. Let's hope the rest of the week has been better!

By the way, I hate to tell you but your houseboat is listing heavily to one side. ;)

That's a lot of milk.

Sympathies with the allergies. I find the best fix is lots and lots o' nasal irrigation. yuck but helps the lungs (says I, having had 3 doctor's appointments, one xray, 3 spirometry tests, and two courses of antibiotics this week.......)

You just made me laugh out loud -- sorry to be insensitive, but I love this picture.

(And the only other photo on Flickr with the "terriblehorriblenogoodverybadday" tag is almost as good...)

If you would just EAT the brownie (broken or not), things would look up. Trust me on this. Chocolate does wonders for the soul (probably not allergies, though - sorry).

In my family, we just call them Alexander days (with apologies to Judith Viorst) for short. I'm chronically behind the times, but I'm glad things have improved.
