The Old Office
There was a time, back in the day, before the Internet and such, when I operated out of an old building in upper Manhattan, and dealt with a lot of walk-in clients.
Times have changed, and I rarely stop by the old place for more then a quick dig through some old paper files (it's been years since I went digital) but I always find myself taking a moment to breath in a few musty memories.
What with all my international travels now and my multiple hideouts scattered throughout the globe, I don't really need to keep the office, but for some reason, I send off my lease cheque to old Benigno each December and sit with him for a coffee and chat whenever I drop by.
I guess, for those reasons alone, I'm better off keeping the place.
