cavall

cavall by i am brad.
35mm film. Was tempted to quick run out and get rid of the lawnmower and table etc... but knew this shot wouldn't last...

haha, thanks! the table is clear glass, it really shows how strangely humid it was that morning... just happy my dog stayed long enough to get the shot, lawnmower and all...

The mower doesnt bother me a bit, nor the table. To me, without them, the cars would be the only thing keeping the setting from being "all natural." This way, the other objects compliment the cars to create a different, but very practical setting that, in a sense, is more real. Besides, the dog and the light are the true subject, anyhow. Great shots are more often dependent on seizing a moment, rather than setting one up. I think you did a great job to seize this one. (123)

Very cool! It's funny how the table and chairs add so much to the shot.

thanks for the comments. glad the realism (i.e. yard junk) didn't distract from light too much. i pretty much take the shot as it is, not much for posing... thanks all!

sort of a bizarre combination of elements of a purely nature shot and elements of suburbia with a pretty cool result! are you by any chance a transcendentalist ;)
