Keep those old machines running as long as you can! Despite what others may say, there's nothing wrong with using old machines. I still use my 3400c and Power Mac 5500 daily.

I want to continue using the PowerBook G3 as it will run Tiger. Unfortunately, after upgrading to 10.4, the batteries are no longer are recognized. I went back to 10.3 but the problem persists. The second battery is a new NewerTech. I don't think both batteries died at the same time. I think something happened on the PowerBook. Replacing the PRAM batter did not solve the problem. :-(

it seems that if the problem is still there after reseting the PRAM, its an actual problem with the batteries.
