Our second Cambodia project will open with an exhibit April 11 and 12 at Wittenberg University on the second floor of The Shouvlin Center.
Nine children from age 6 to 17 years old document their life on The Tonle Sap
Lake through the lens of a camera. Their work will be on display for two
days on the second floor of the Shouvlin Center at Wittenberg University.
For many of these children it is their first experience with a camera.
Life on The Tonle Sap is unlike any environment encountered for
many of us. The Tonle Sap (Great Lake) is the largest freshwater lake in Southeast
Asia and is home to over 170 floating villages. Families spend a lifetime living
in small house boats and floating structures on this ocean-like lake. Everything
needed to sustain life is provided by means of floating grocery stores,
restaurants, petrol stations and even schools. ©2007 Eyes Wide Open Worldwide
