Fine silver ring

I guess I should have a standard way of taking photos of my work, but it's always quite impromptu. There is always that "how do you stand a ring up" problem.... This time I grabbed a flower from a bunch that's been on the table at least a week.

You can try some of that clay to stick posters on the wall, i don't know what it's called. it's worked for me before

Yes I've used that before, but you often see a little bit poking out, or the ring falls over just before you take the shot.
I guess that the flower here makes a "picture", which may not be the best way to "show" something. I think it sort of worked in this instance though, as the ring is quite minimal.

yeah i know, i've ruined many pictures cuz i can't remove the gray blob in photoshop. i guess if the ring is wide enough there's more room for hiding. i tried a shotglass as a 'standing' solution for a ring... whatever works is welcome, right?
