Omar and I have been discussing taking a very much needed and well deserved vacation. We both agree that we want to explore the horizons and see what the rest of the world has to offer.

It has always been my life's dream to go to Italy and explore part of my heritage (for those of you that don't know...I am a Mexican/Italian American.) Besides Italy appears to be a beautiful country in and of itself.

Thank goodness for Omar...a man who wants to travel and explore the world with me. We decided to stop talking about it and just get to planning it. So with the reading and research we have done, as well as talking to a few people that have been to Italy, we have agreed that March is the best time to go...pricewise. Not to mention the weather is fairly decent in March...not too cold (maybe a lil' rain) and not too hot.

Omar will have the chance to take a gazillion pictures...which is fine with me, because I know we'll both have a fabulous time.

Josie ~ We are shooting for March 7th -March 17th. Just waiting to hear back on final vacation approval from Omar's job, and then once that's done we'll be set to go. 3 nights in Rome, 3 nights in Florence, and 3 nights in Venice...I can't wait!!!

I'm SO jealous! My friend Erica spent a month there last summer. She came back with the most gorgeous photos. She'd posted quite a few on TA, but those are gone now.... *cough*. Have a great time! Take TONS of photos!

been there more times than i can count hvnly...you and omar will love it...doesnt matter where you go.....i personally love Rome and Milan and Lake Como but there is soo much to see.....

you wont want to come home believe me...for years now i have contemplated on moving there to get away from the USA....keep us up to date on where you two plan on going...cant wait to see the two of you enjoying the italian way of life!! where you two planning on flying into first? Rome?
