grandpa

this is my handsome grandfather. just one of the hundreds of photos me and my brother chad found in our dad's basement a couple days ago.

I miss my dad so much. on april 22nd it will be a full year since he went to heaven. I still feel like he died yesterday. it hurts so bad and I feel so alone without him. but at least I had him here for so much of my life. my grandpa died before I was born. I treasure photos like this because I like to look in his eyes and imagine how he was.

god I love my family so much. they are flawed. and some of them are jerks. but they're MINE. and I am THEIRS.
