This view is just 20 kilometers from my home. I am driving alone back home from visiting my 88 year old father, when I pass by this place.

Almost every week I pass here but only this day I decided to pull down and have some shots and I am so happy to got this.

Yes, photography is about TIMING. The right time in the right weather mood. The sun has just risen enough to light this view. And what I am interested to shot now, is the steadiness and calmness of the water, the right balance to have this mirror like effect on the surface of the water. Last time I passed here, the water is choppy and the reflections is not exciting to see.

Photography is understanding LIGHT and SHADOW. Getting shots on the afternoon when the sun is over your head, the shadow and light is not good. Shooting this view when the sun is at the back of the mountains, you spoil the clarity. Only you got is the reddish sunset and a shadowy trees and mountains.
