    Somewhere in the seventies, plans were made to sell Lada cars in the USA. Whether plans were ever realized, I don't know, but I have not ever seen evidence that these vehicles made it here.

      That is not correct, because Lada has always been available in many European countries up tp this day.

      I remember Lada collapsed in Chile around that time, but I think it was due to the economic crisis in Russia. I remember the situation of the car company even made it to local news.

      I like to see non-VAZ products labeled as Lada. First time I see the UAZ as a Lada, although ti might have never actually came out as such. Alekos were Lada in Germany, IZH pickups and Tavrias were Lada in Chile.
