Good heavens..
About 15 years ago, a Melbourne car dealership had a Bathurst Holden Dealer Team Commodore on top of their showrooms.. Local wreckers yard around the same time had a Goggmobil mounted on a pole outside their lot...

Yeah, you used to see more of this, I guess it died out in the eighties, except for the occasional night club with half a car sticking out of a wall.

I know in Shepparton in Victoria there is the Castrol Commodore that Larry Perkins won Bathurst on a roof outside a mechanical shop, still there today ......
