They're actually running for the sheer fun of it !!! It's funny, because the glass walls I shot through and the close-up ground give this grainy effect which makes people think of rain, but it wasn'training (you can see a couple quietly seating on top of the stairs in the right).

@Kay: it is, but it's a permanent one. I've tried to find the name of the artist, but couldn't. I guess it was maybe part of the overall "Grande Arche" architectural project rather than a later addition to it, but not sure, so if anybody has a clue...

Intallations like this tend to look somewhat unnatural 'in the flesh'. Though I haven't seen this one 'in the flesh' I suspect you have done very well to maximise the realism and believability of the figures whilst at the same time managing to create a scene that is both surreal and evocative. Excellent.

Another cool shot through the glass panels. It's got the feel of a fifties Picture Post or maybe Paris Match shot. It looks great.

excellent bw !!!
I thing you would enjoy the Czech movie HOLUBICE by Frantisek Vlacil, it is an old bw film from 1960 with great camera work. Another great movie camera work is on old Russian film I AM CUBA. It is partly shot on bw infrared film. It is, I think, also from 1960.
