European starling, juvenile

This bird was beside Cecelia Creek in Victoria, on the lower p[art of Vancouver Island, BC. It is the size of a slim robin and there were several robin as well as many house sparrows in the same area. Muchas gracias para my amigo australiense otra vez. Mi chemoterapia sigue bueno.

American robin, juvenile

I left my books in Mexico so I need some help with the ID of this bird - on southern Vancouver Island along with the quail. Thanks to Dave Appleton for the ID. I knew it was a "thrush" but could not find anything that looked like it in what I had available. One of the downsides of living in a tropical climate!
