Main Hall, Hellingly Asylum
The decaying Victorian splendour of the Main Hall / Theatre at Hellingly Asylum, Sussex
Designed by George Thomas Hine and built in 1903, it closed it's doors in 1994. It's an amazing place, spent about 5 hours in there with still loads to explore. Need to go back with a tripod for some long exposures. View On Black CommentsWould you like to comment?Sign up for a free account, or sign in (if you're already a member). |

This image looked like an eye to me in the thumbnail,
the tiny window in the upper left like a light catch of an eye.
I googled this asylum, I found a lot of hits, yours here was one of them... I wonder why the place was closed, not used for another purpose.. this is very compelling, & intriguing to me the way of it all..
