I wanted to comment on this picture because
it is the most recent one, and I assume that
you will check it first, I wanted to comment
on all your pictures though, especially the
travel photos and old black and white
pictures from the past. They are great! A lot
of your pictures are creative and you seem
like a well rounded, living life to the
fullest type of person, good for you!
Thanks for the kind words. I realize that I
have been living my dreams, and I'm grateful
for the chance to do that. I was born in the
depression, and lived in the mountains of
Kentucky during World War II. I heard family
stories about relatives who "went out
west" in the late '30's and I dreamed of
doing that.
Fortunately, my wife of 52 years grew up on a
farm in Tennessee and had similar dreams.
The scooter collection is typical of old
coots who are reliving their childhood.
These are soo cool! my partner loves these
little metros too. My neighbor growing up had
one for a while. it was a yellow convertible.
He was going to restore it. It wound up just
sitting with a pile of dog crap in it for
years. then he sold it or got rid of it to
someone.
Don't you just hate it when somebody neglects
something like that Metro? I used to buy and
sell bicycles, and It always bothered me when
someone left them out in the weather to rust.
I went to a neigbor's house to buy a Vespa.
He had a Nash Metropolitan and a '35 Plymouth
that I had never seen. He sold me the
scooter, but he wasn't about to turn loose of
those cars.

I love this car, its design is simply amazing. I guess it was a real shock when it appeared in the market.
