The Fishermans Haunt was originally built as an inn dating back to 1673. This set of shots, joined in a Hockney stylee was taken just after my breakfast. I have always been a fan of his photo stage, when he did many 'joiner' panoramas. It inspired me to have a go and the fascination in takeing something that no one had ever taken or visualised before has always excited me. So no apologies for rough edges(!).
The Fullers brewery write up describes it as "this olde worlde property is full of period features, character and charm. All 12 bedrooms are stylish and furnished to an excellent standard. We take great care in choosing our beds and bed linen, so that our guests have a comfortable and relaxing sleep".
It goes on "The restaurant enjoys an excellent reputation for good home-cooked food, using the finest local produce, good wines and Fuller's award winning beers. The Fisherman's Haunt is close to the New Forest, within easy reach of the Christchurch and Bournemouth areas and is ideal for the country lover and angler, with the River Avon being close by".
Being a fan of Fullers beers I have stayed there a few times while in the area, although the Woolpack just a short walk towards Ringwood is my usual choice for food. The 'Haunt is doing more local food and food sourced from local New Forest ingredients now I have noticed, which can only be a good thing.
