Sunset at the Beach

The moon?

yes Joe, that's the moon and It made the photo. I took a few in landscape mode (horizontal) but they were void of any subject or point of interest. So I had to go with the portrait (vertical) to include the crescent moon. Unfortunately the moon was high in the sky so I couldn't zoom in on it more.

It was a beautiful gorgeous sunset, with the crescent moon. I'm so happy the the bright colors actually showed in the picture.

Toota78: Yes it is real. It was a very clear sky and a cloud free sunset, thus the bold colors. I was a little surprised when I looked at the back of my cam after the shot so I knew I had a winner right away because of the bold colors. We were watching the sunset and we saw the green flash and I even got a picture of that.

1bluecanoe: This was taken at the beach in San Diego, Torrey Pines State Beach near Carmel Valley Rd. in Del Mar to be specific. This is a 5 min drive down the road from where I live. This is like my hometown beach. It was memorial day weekend and we didn't do much so we decided to go down to the beach for the evening to watch the sunset and this is what we got.
