A touch of winter has finally come to our valley, sprinkling the hillsides with powdery snow. There is even talk of skiing on the high plains!

Yippieeeeeyaaaaeee!

There are so many planes over this area, constantly painting lines into the sky. Sometimes you've got to use what you have.

I sort of like the way this one has turned out, this time not b&w.

Elisabeth und ich laufen am Albtrauf entlang. Wir schauen hinaus ins Tal, in dem weit unten unser Haus liegt. Elisabeth erzählt, dass sie gerne ein wandelndes Skelett haben würde, das bei uns wohnen sollte. Ich aber will das nicht. "Das würde uns dauernd beim Essen über die Schultern schauen," sage ich. "Nein," widerspricht sie, "es würde den ganzen Tag im Keller verbringen und nur nachts hervorkommen." "Ja, aber das will ich auch nicht," sage ich, "stell' dir vor, es kommt dann nachts aus dem Keller und schaut durch deine Tür." "Aber Papa, nachts schlafe ich doch!" "Du schon,"sage ich,"aber ich könnte da kein Auge zumachen." "Klasse," sagt sie, "dann könntest du doch mit dem Skelett reden!"

Bin ich froh, dass es keine wandelnden Skelette gibt.
