Day 21 | Project 365
The aftermath! This was taken late Sunday night I believe, I'm not sure, all the days have been fuzzy lately. But after the hurricane hit on Saturday but my house specifically wasn't hit too bad, nothing more than leaves covering our backyard. My street was basically untouched and I had power, cable, and internet throughout the entire storm. However, a lot of people I know have been without power for days already and a lot of conversations have started with, "Do you have power yet?" It's not like the town is doing much anyways other than sitting around in their yellow trucks gawking at fallen trees.
My friend and I drove around town and went to pick up other friends but we kept being blocked by trees that fell everywhere. All the power was out on the main roads, no traffic lights worked (which made for insane driving, insane but fun), the wind was pounding, and people were walking around with headbands that lit up. Seriously, the weirdest most entertaining thing I ever did was go around town to see the aftermath of hurricane Irene.

Day 20 | Project 365
Since I won’t have power for the weekend, I decided to cheat and post a picture early for Sunday. I’m not sure if I’ll have power Monday either, heck I won’t even know if I’ll be alive! So why am I worrying about my P365?! BECAUSE I LOVE YOU GUYS. And wanted to share my newly clean floor. Usually I’m immaculately clean in all aspects of my life including my room but I’ve been so crazy with college stuff lately that there was crap all over the place. I finally cleaned up after I killed a big ass spider and didn’t want any hiding among the papers. Ugh, should’ve taken a before picture! Damn.
Shit, I have no idea how I scoffed my floor like that!

Day 19 | Project 365
The town committee people have decided to shut all power down at noon so my mom has been cooking everything so the perishable food doesn’t go to waste. Irene seriously ruined my Rochester plans. Anyways, this is a noodle dish that I absolutely LURVE. And it’s even more delicious with nước mắm.

Anyone in need of water? My mom stocked up because of this hurricane business goin’ on. She was so pissed she had the small car with her otherwise she probably would’ve bought three more. Oh mother, you’re so silly.
