ALLA PLD Standards Awards 2008 |
What is the Certificate of Standards
Achievement Award?
The Alabama Library Association’s, A
Plan for Excellence: Standards for
Public Library Service in Alabama, is an
incentive for libraries to achieve
standards and to recognize in a public
way those libraries that meet the
standards. It gives public libraries the
opportunity to showcase their
achievements in their own community with
an attractive certificate and banner.
There are three levels of achievement
for which a library may apply:
NOTABLE LEVEL (Minimum): Recipient must
meet all of the core level standards.
GOLD STAR (Exemplary): Recipients must
meet all of the core level standards and
all leveled standards at the Gold Star
Level.
BLUE RIBBON (Benchmark of Excellence):
Recipients must meet all of the core
level standards and all leveled
standards at the Blue Ribbon level.
