well my girlfriend found some free passes to the minnesota zoo so yesterday we took the trip down to apple valley minnesota. it was fun! i havent been there in a while and they keep adding new things to look at. this gibbon was wide awake unlike most of the animals there and was doing a great job of posing and looking sharp. didnt take long before i got what i needed from him. id love to go back when its not freezing outside so i can take some photos of the larger animals.

From the first day i took a photo class back in high school ive always wanted to go to this bridge to take some photographs of the skyline and highway 35w. its jan here in MN and i felt like if its 46 degrees i should take the opportunity to check out the spot. i packed up my camera and tripod and went out. there were so many other photographers there i got the last spot to shoot from and i loved the experience. even though this is an overly common view of the minneapolis skyline i enjoyed it almost as much as any creative shoot because the view was so amazing. I will be going back again sometime soon i hope.
