this was lower manhattan... so he slowed for the red, waited for the cop to pass, and then blasted through just as he got the green. he's doing the nearly-stopping thing.

for all the chaotic aspects of traffic in manhattan, I am always surprised at how well everything flows along. it's a constant negotiation, and everyone is engaged.
