crater bluff from grand high tops

crater bluff from grand high tops

Crater Bluff looms from the surrounding countryside as an 800 foot high (nearly 300m) remnant dyke from an extinct volcanoe system. Taken from the Grand High Tops walk, Warrumbungle National Park - an 18km, 6 hr walk through a special part of north west NSW.

A redux of an earlier image - treated with Dynamic Photo HDR 4 software.

msr hubba hubba with msr gear shed

My two person MSR Hubba Hubba hiking tent with the MSR Gear Shed base camp extension seen to the left of the tent. The gear shed adds around 2.7 sq metres of extra space, which has proven handy for extended stays.

On location at Dunns Swamp, Wollemi National Park.
