Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva (地藏菩薩), often known in its Japanese name Jizō (地蔵) or Chinese name Dizang (地藏 Dìzàng), is a popular Mahayana Buddhist Bodhisattva, usually depicted as a monk. The name Jizō or Dizang may be translated as "Earth Treasury", "Earth Store", "Earth Matrix", or "Earth Womb."

Photo taken besides the Mahapanya Vidayalai (the University of Wisdom), Hatyai, is a recently established institute, under the auspices of the Theravada Sangha and the Mahayana Annam Elders of Thailand. At the moment, Mahapanya Vidayalai is offering a bachelor degree program in Buddhist Studies, using English as medium of instruction. The college is currently affiliated with Mahachulalongkorn Rajavidyalaya University. All successful graduates will be awarded a B.A. degree.
