They're still at it:

The first one in 2005
Psychotern strikes again in 2007

It seems to be one of the regular "events" shots from my trips during the summer to post an out of focus, crazy shot of the arctic tern in attack mode. Here is one -again(see above links for previous year's reference).

There were a lot of birds there and it was kind of a scary experiment to see who would actually get pecked first to draw blood.
The terns seemed not to mind those who pointed cameras at them, but those who tried to walk casually around the area got pecked instantly.

Shot at Núpskatla in the NW tip of Melrakkaslétta, NE-Iceland.

I HATE these birds! When I was in Iceland in 2002, I would always have to run with fear across the path through the south end of the Tjornin. These terns are OUT OF CONTROL!
