That armor is just amazing. (Do you mind sharing where you got it?)

The first impression here was "loneliness and longing"...the warrior in armor, ready to defend herself, but aching for the peace and serenity of a more normal life somewhere, something traditional and settled. All that faces her when she leaves this place is sanguine pain and footloose wandering; and so, for a time, she dares to dream -- though the dream is unreachable.

It could also be the warrior returned home, though, glorying in the release from the life of battle, hoping to reclaim what she left behind. She has not yet entered the house to greet her family, but has chosen instead to pause in the fields and drink in the serenity of what she had left to defend -- or just to pursue a different life. That is behind her now, and far more glorious possibilities await....

Nighthawk - Thank you :)

Skye - Thank you, Skye :) This armor was the very first purchase I made in SL, and I think the hair I have on here was the second, to wear with it. I got the outfit at Bare Rose. I always call it my warrior outfit, but the real name of it is "cyber succubus".

Silver - I love your comments :) The Far Away is the perfect place for anomalies, and the unexpected :)

Harper - Wow..wonderful, and imaginative reading into this pic....and some of it quite perceptive as to some of the inner workings of the RL person behind Hitomi :) Thank you very much for such an enjoyable read this morning. And following the warrior context, I just read that 1600 years ago a dragonfly was the symbol of a great Japanese warrior clan, and that dragonflies were said to bring good luck in battle, so it is quite appropriate apparently that I have one on my shoulder :)

I keep coming back to this picture. It emanates so much strength and majesty within such a humble setting.

I keep thinking of Joan of Arc when I look at this. A young girl of little means sent on an incredible mission. In this I see her looking over her shoulder for one last gaze at her old life before she heads into battle.

*sigh* I'd fave this over and over if I could. :o)
