Eveywhere is Home [#2]

Bocca d'Arno, Marina di Pisa.

Last photo from this series :-)
30 seconds. Hoya ND8. Tripod. Magic squirrel food. No squirrel. Ate all the food by myself.

riding high amongst the waves

have a soul that has been saved
i can see the light
coming through the clouds in rays (*)

More from Bocca d'Arno in Marina di Pisa.

13 seconds. Hoya ND8. Not a single fish was harmed. Unfortunately :D

Sorry, not sunlight in this photo so the colours are rather dull.
I like the composition after all, even though I'll have to try a longer exposure and maybe (and I said maybe) slightly less zoom in order to keep a greater sense of perspective.

Long live The Nets :D

Goodbye Sunshine by hippydream

Goodbye Sunshine

You gotta love Bocca d'Arno in Marina di Pisa :-)

A harbour is being built next to this place and I am terribly worried about it because it will destroy all the magic it has.

Staring at the Sea of Time by hippydream

Staring at the Sea of Time

Marina di Pisa with my super astonishing GD14 filter :D

Well. it's actually a 13 +2/3 stops, so not a proper GD14. GD means green density of course.

Ok, it's just a cheap welding mask glass and this is my first experiment with it.
White balance has been adjusted because the glass is green, but I didn't care about proper white balance.

You'll also see some red stains. Light was leaking in.
A 4 minutes exposure is too long. You can see some noise in the photo, specially where the light leaked in.

It's an experiment so I don't really care. The next time I'll try and get proper white balance and avoid too long exposures. B&W film is certainly more suited for such long exposure times.

This is actually the only good photo I could get that day. The sun was going down and one moment later you would need 10 minutes to get the same exposure :)

By the Sea by hippydream

By the Sea

With the sea at our gate, we'll have kippered herring
Wot have swum to us straight from the Straits of Bering!
Ev'ry night, in the kip, when we're through our kippers,
I'll be there slippin' off your slippers!
By the sea,
With the fishies splashing!
By the sea!
Wouldn't that be smashing? (*)

Back in Marina di Pisa :D

Light conditions were actually disappointing IMO, but I went there only to experiment with my uber amazing GD14 filter. If you're wondering what the heck a GD14 filter is, stay tuned :)
