Kali, Avatar of the eBook

An Illustration I made for an article that I never finished, such is the nature of meltdowns. If I ever write a book about ebooks, I'd like this to be the cover.

    Also, this (in Spanish).

Una ilustración que hice para un artículo que nunca terminé. Eso se llama fracasar con estilo. Si alguna vez escribo un libro sobre el libro electrónico, me gustaría que esta fuera la portada.

    Y además esto.

Does symbolism matter ? Dark-skinned person tramping on fairer person, particularly useful in the context of meltdowns.

I think learned individuals can do much better. Who said, a room without books is like a body without soul, or something to that effect? Cicero?

What's the point of having books when there's no real heart, nor soul?

      Hello, Javier.

I'm writing on behalf of Conservation Magazine, a nonprofit quarterly publication based at the University of Washington in Seattle. We are interested in using, "Kali, Avatar of the eBook," for an article in our upcoming summer issue.

Do you have a higher resolution version than the one you have shared on Flickr?

Look forward to hearing from you soon!

      Many thanks!

Hey Ambar, I am flattered that you ask.

I'm afraid the higher resolution pic is not higher-quality. The original Kali pic was already quite bad, I'm afraid. I will fish the bigger file out from storage and send it to your email with credit info some time this week. Please ping me again (javier at candeira dot com) if I don't remember. Cheers!
