nothing but perfection. Just love this, the
various planes of light and shadow, pattern
and smoothly reflective surface, muted
colour.
A painting.

I'm wondering about the name you chose. Is
number 7 on its way? In our tradition 7
signifies luck.

I was thinking this looked a little bit like
the sort of thing you might find at the house
of a seer, or someone who foretells the
future. I think they often do things with
stuff like old bones (or ceramic spoons!!!).
The seventh spoon was just outside the lens
area Hiam ;-) so hopefully all shall be well.
Aw Antoinette, I am really touched by your
kind words - thank you! :-)

there's something very evocative going on
with this simple (well not _so_ simple)
juxtaposition of homely items and veils of
texture...

Whatever do you do with all of these terrific
mind-bending images? Do you print them? I
hope so. They deserve to be together in a
book or at least portfolio where fingers can
touch and turn the pages and..... time
travel, dream, wonder, get teary-eyed,
remember.I often get a feeling just like
something almost on the tip of my tongue when
I look at them. but its not my tongue, its my
memory - or lifetimes of old memories. So
many of them should be printed large and hung
on walls. I think you have a very strong
gallery show among these works. Really.

Seriously, Caroline. I could easily go
through your work and find 20 or so images
which, if printed gallery sized, would make a
great show. What a treat that would be! (not
that there are only 20 of this quality, but
that's what an art show usually contains).

So glad you like it :-)
Thank you jaiell!
Many thanks Andy - it was good to see your
stream...
I am bowled over by your kind words Karin!
I sometimes make cards for earthling pals -
printing pix up at 5"x7" and
pasting them on card. It's really weird how
some of them look good and some of them look
terrible when printed, and their goodness and
terribleness has little correlation with
their on screen presence. I think it must be
exhilarating to get one of those DIY books
made with a selection of one's pix. I've
seen some brilliant examples here on flickr.
I think I would like to do that...
