There is a full moon and it's crazy out. Jim is in the woods, hiding from the police who wouldn't help him earlier looking for detective Fremick, wanting to confess racing a stolen car over a cliff to the beach, playing chicken with Buzz jumping out at the last second - Buzz didn't get out in time. Hours before, the two were in a knife fight after the first day of school - a new school for Jim who now has Judy as a girl friend now that Buzz is gone. Jim and Judy head up the wooded path to the observatory to talk Plato who is hiding there to surrender his gun to the police - does not end well.

I use to come here in the dark using a flash light to see sun up. Sometimes there would be a heron perched in the tree ... and he would freak out as I tried to get close enough for a picture - using an Olympus point and shoot camera. This shot was taken just a few minutes after sun up, after +1 in comments of the sun breaking through the fog
