Contemplation

Contemplation

When I captured this image, I imagined that the guy standing there was contemplating whether or not he was going to do another paragliding run or to just pack it in for the day. I didn't stick around long enough to see what he ended up doing but I would like to think that he went out again.

Rose

Rose

One of the roses that I had bought my fiance last month. After the flowers had fully opened up I decided to take a few photos and then try out Topaz Remask for the first time. There are a few spots that could be a little better but overall it's a pretty cool Photoshop plug-in.

Blue

Blue

I know there is a lot that should have been done differently in this photo, such as using a white sheet for the back ground and not a white wall with a texture, or I should have been using an off camera flash instead of a flash light (haven't bought a flash yet), among a few other things but I figured I did what I could with what I had at the time.

I thought it might be fun to experiment with some food coloring, glass of water, and some lighting and with the materials I had to work with, I think it came our fairly well.

Sailing

Sailing

This photo was taken during a harbor tour in San Diego last 4th of July weekend.

After getting this shot on the computer I thought it would make for a cool B&W using Nik SilverEfex. When I was going through the diffrent presets in there I stumbled across the antique look and decided to apply that instead.

Reflections of Watson Lake

Reflections of Watson Lake

This one is from back in November when Ed Brice and I took a trip up to Prescott. It was an amazing little day trip and we both came away with some fantastic photos. The water was just so calm an peaceful which made for these beautiful reflections in the lake.
