New Business Cards are here!

The Back
The front
We heart trees... so much so that we had one chopped down and pulped to make our business card! ;)
Oh no! Look out, little tree! There's a giant logo sneaking up on you!
Yeah, whats wrong with that?!! It wasn't this tree! :D
New Business Cards are here! by Jon Hicks.
Its always exciting to get new 'stuff' printed - more so when its for yourself, and there are no mistakes (unlike the last lot I had done 4 years ago)!

On the recommendation of a few people (like Kate Bolin), I had them done at Aubergine. Great quality, fast, and the logo has a Spot UV varnish to make it shine against the matt laminate. I really can't express how pleased I am with these! :D

Now I've got to spend the weekend with the rounded corner punch (available from here) to get them all looking like this!

I'll be handing them out liberally at @media...

Lovely looking cards, Mr Hicks!

I recommended that store to Nathan about 9 months ago for a corner punch, having made the expensive mistake of getting the printers to round-off my business cards a few years ago.

My "crafty" wife recommends blue-tacking the punch to the corner of a desk then holding the card so it's not over the desk to punch it. This apparently gives better right angles and it's quicker to do large batches as it's easier to rotate the card between punches. After lots of punching, she also recommends punching some tin-foil a few times to re-sharpen the blade.

Great work! To the question about rounded corners, you can buy a punch anywhere they sell scrapbooking supplies.

My print company doesn't do spot UV, so I don't get UV since you can't write on it... but his is very cool... I may have to get a new print company. ;)

I LOVE it.

I love it especially because I knew something as elegant and nice as this was coming. Then seeing it knowing you took some heat for the initial logo design is extra funny -- I was confident it would work out really well.
