gladiolus x colvillei

gladiolus x colvillei by heyoka.
I have no idea what this flower is. (edit: it's a Gladiolus x colvillei)

This is a single stem. Looking at a bloom face on, there are three larger petals at the top, three smaller ones below, each pointed at the end, coming from a deep base. The blooms are about two inches wide when fully open, and are a clean white. The leaves are iris-like. Any ideas?

Looks either like a gladioulus...or some type of canna lily...other than that...I have no idea!

ah ha! Therese you are a star! That's what I needed to hunt down the name... it's a Gladiolus x colvillei, a mini hybrid-glad, and it's either "Alba" or "The Bride". Thank you.

Gorgeous photo. The identification was driving me crazy earlier - I looked through a bunch of lilies online because I was convinced it was one and couldn't find the right one... for obvious reasons now.
