Billingford Mill was built in about 1860, and after restoration in 1997 is fully working again (but only in the summer).

Thank you Rod and Therese!
dcfox: only in that I agree with his stance
that sharpness is over-rated, and in wishing
I had even an ounce of his skill. But thanks
for an idea: I should go and take some photos
of the Broads now that the tourist season is
over. Though the world Emerson photographed
is almost all gone.)
Efo: yes! It was so strange, with all the
wind blowing the plants and the trees around,
and the windmill completely still. They fix
the sails for winter, of course, but it takes
the brain a moment to register "what's
wrong with this scene?" when you're
standing there in the bluster...

Mmm, very nice indeed.
You keep making me miss Norfolk. :/
If you do get to taking a bunch of pictures
of the Broads... there's a houseboat just a
little way downriver from Thurne, towards
Acle, opposite another windmill, which I'd
love it if you got some pictures of. :) A
long shot, I know.
I bet you could have some fun with nearby
St. Benet's Abbey, too.
