Rarely has going top of the league been so little fun. Both sides missed several glaring chances. Mark Noble scored two penalties. Marlon Harewood got a standing ovation on his return to the Boleyn. Kris Akabusi played warm-up to Jeremy Nicholas. A win is a win - but it wasn't convincing.
