Fifty Six.

Fifty Six.

So I used to have lots of pretty orchids when we lived in Borneo, hanging outside from the roof.

It's too cold here for such exotic plants to survive outside, so Aaron bought me this pretty one to live indoors.
It's sitting on our kitchen windowsill and it's just opened some more flowers... it's so pretty, I am trying my best to keep it alive!

Fifty five.

Fifty five.

Ok, so we said that we didn't need to buy new plates because we still had a mish-mash of old sets... and we would buy new when we bought our own place in a couple of years.

Well that changed when I went out earlier to buy a bread bin and saw these... they just sort of 'made their way' into the trolley!

Lovely brown square plates with flowers on - very different to the sort of plates I usually see in shops :)

The end of the day.

The end of the day.

A beautiful sunset on our way home from Bourne End.

We never got to see the 'actual' sun setting in Borneo - we were the wrong side of the mountain for that. We got to see some colourful clouds, but that was about it, so it's lovely to see the glowing sun dip behind the horizon.

Fry

Fry

Just *had* to upload this one - he's got his ear up and it's given him the 'proper alsatian' look!
We waited for ages for those ears to go up, but they never did.
He's doing quite well since we've been back, he was always a nervous dog but he's getting much better with people now, which is nice to see :)

Fifty four.

Fifty four.

Bourne End Marina, Buckinghamshire, England.

Came to this neck of the woods to collect our dog airline crates from a friend that took them from us at nearby Heathrow when we landed from Borneo, so that we could actually shut the car boot on all our luggage and make our way home!

She has a lovely dog who looks (and acts) just like Leela, and us three humans and three dogs came down here for a quick walk before lunch. There was a little beach area that the dogs all had fun in, and it turned Leela a bit scatty (as many things will do). Everyone had a good time and I think Fry has made his first doggy friend!

A lovely sunny day, about 15 degrees c which is very warm for this time of year (not that I am complaining!)

This was taken on our way back, I was going to take the picture on the way there but changed my mind and said I'd take it on the way home - and, of course, this boat appears and ruins the picture :(
