I'm trying to find week five. I'm behind on uploading, obviously.

My niece's first birthday was hosted out at Medard Park and we brought Sophie along. She had a blast playing with all the kids. And of course everyone walking by wanted to meet her.

February 1st was Sophie's 1st birthday!

Sophie with her BFF, Onyx, hanging out in a sunbeam this morning. Growing up together, they handle each other pretty well. Onyx is actually the instigator most of the time, darting around the living room trying to get Sophie to chase. It's usually Sophie that gives the "kisses" though, leaving Onyx with a cowlick on the back of his neck, so this is a fairly rare shot.

Sophie had quite the week. She got to play with her doggy friends at doggy daycare all weekend while we headed upstate for a funeral. She most likely caught a cold while she was there though and has been sick all week. The vet wasn't much help except some anti-diarrhea medication and a $280 vet bill to add to her folder. She's feeling better today, but still not quite 100%.

Not that any of that stopped her from lying on the back of the couch like her kitty friend.

One of my projects for the year is to do a 52 weeks featuring Sophie. I had originally wanted to do a 365, but I work long shifts and picking up a camera some days is just not an option. At least this way there's not a daily obligation and there's no harm in taking more photos and simply picking one to be "it" for the week.
