Haleakala Volcano - Far above the clouds.
Haleakala National Park slices up volcanic Mount Haleakala, a dramatic
scurry to the clouds from sea level to over 3000 meters (10,000 feet)
over a distance of 60 km (35 miles). The environment changes rapidly
and dramatically with the altitude, from subtropical rainforest at sea
level to subalpine desert in the crater.
Last sunlight of the day is hitting the volcano and the surrounding
clouds.
