103/2009: Spicery
![]() From my hand-dyed Shetland wool top in the Spicery colorway.
worsted weight 2 ply 10 oz., 500 yards This is kind of fractal-spun. I didn't split the fiber down the middle lengthwise, just broke in half . I stripped one half and spun the other from the end. This should make nice wide stripes. I will make a striped vest for Mr. HelloYarn with this and some Shetland yarn I bought 1.5 years ago when I went to Ashfield, MA for a cheesemaking class. Who knew that now I'd be living in the next town over and the farm would be down the street from the place where we go for awesome pizza? I put the yarn in the sink to soak the moment I finished spinning it and immediately wound a ball of the Shetland and started the vest. Commentsbowerbirdknits
